Interpol Tirana in cooperation with the authorities in Kosovo, have made it possible to catch and arrest the citizen Aldo Majnishta, one of the organizers of the kidnapping and disappearance of the citizen Jan Prenga.

“As a result of the timely exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and ILECU, Kosovo, this information provided by the Police structures, about a wanted citizen who was circulating in Kosovo, with the documents of another citizen, within the framework of the operation” Hostage”, it became possible to locate, capture and arrest for the purpose of extradition to our country, the citizen declared internationally wanted Aldo Majnishta, 29 years old, born in Shkodër. This citizen, at the time of his arrest, presented the documents of another citizen to the Kosovar authorities. As a result of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with these authorities, a series of verifications were carried out, from which it turned out that the citizen caught during the operation was Aldo Majnishta”, informs the police.

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, in 2022, assigned to the 29-year-old, the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offenses “Kidnapping or holding a person hostage”, committed in cooperation, “Trafficking of narcotics ”, carried out in collaboration, “Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Hiding or disposing of a corpse”.

Abduction and killing of Jan Prenga was allegedly ordered from outside Albania due to the theft of a quantity of cocaine in the port of Portsmouth.
