The legal representative of DP’s Re-foundation Commission, Ivi Kaso, declared that the Court of Appeals should not have accepted the appeal presented by the head of DP’s parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj.

During a conference from DP’s headquarters, Kaso said that the party, which participated in the process, i.e. the Re-foundation Commission, is the only one who could make such an appeal.

“In today’s decision at the Consultation Chamber, the Court should have simply verified whether or not this appeal was signed by the same party which also participated in the process, i.e. the Re-foundation Commission. The Court should have decided to either overturn Alibeaj’s appeal or reject it,” – said Kaso.

According to him, the Appeals Court did not decide to overturn the decision made by Judge Zhukri, which means that the December 11 Assembly is still legitimate and that the Refoundation Commission is the only body that can legally represent the Democratic Party.
