The Government of Kosovo has announced that they will be allocating €50 thousand euros as financial help for Albanians living in the Preshevo Valley.
PM Albin Kurti stated that this comes as a response to a request made by the National Albanian Council and representatives of Preshevo, Medvegje and Bujanoc.
“With the goal of supporting the political cause of Albanians living in Preshevo, Medvegje and Bujanoc, and on the basis of a request presented to us, we propose to allocate the sum of 50 thousand euros in support for the lobbying activities of the National Albanian Council and Albanian representatives living in these areas,” – said Kurti during today’s government meeting.
Kosovo’s financial help comes at a time when the Preshevo Valley remained without any Albanian representatives in the Serbian Parliament.
Shaip Kamberi came close to winning a seat in Parliament but wasn’t able to due to a narrow difference in votes.
