Serbian president, Alexandar Vucic, has reacted after the news was confirmed that Kosovo had applied to join the European Council.
Vucic thus announced that he had called a meeting of the National Security Council, this Thursday, while adding that with this application, Kosovo had violated the Washington Agreement, Brussels Agreement and Resolution no. 1244.
According to Vucic, the United States has supported Kosovo in this application to join the European Council, but none of this will be valid unless Serbia gives the green light also.
Serbian media Tanjug reported that the Serbian president had also reiterated his stance in regards to Kosovo’s independence by repeating that Serbia will not recognize it.
Kosovo’s MFA, Donika Gervalla, visited Strasburg today, where she personally handed in her country’s application to join the European Council.
