Kosovo’s president, Vjosa Osmani announced earlier today that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora has made a formal decision today to declare two public officials from the Liaison Office of the Russian Federation in Kosovo, persona non-grata. At the same time, all law-enforcement institutions and relevant authorities have been notified of their designation.

KosovaPress has also reported that earlier this week, Osmani had asked the deputy prime minister and MFA, Donika Gervalla-Schwarz, to declare these two Russian officials non grata, due to their harmful actions, that violated Kosovo’s national security and constitutional order.

“On that note, we will continue to collaborate closely with our American and European allies, in order to avoid the efforts that aim to make Kosovo and our region fall pray of the destabilizing ambitions of the Russian Federation. I ensure the citizens of this country that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo won’t hesitate to act accordingly, any time our country’s security and constitutional order are violated,” – wrote Osmani.
