In line with the Delphi Economic Forum, Prime Minister Albin Kurti met on Friday with the EU Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
The meeting was mainly about the progress achieved so far in the talks, as well as necessary steps to be taken in the future.
Kurti stressed that the government of Kosovo is committed to a dialogue based on principles, and fruitful to the people on both sides of the border.
Another pressing issue discussed by Kurti and Lajcak was that of license plates.
Kurti recalled that the countries must reach a deal on the issue in two weeks, based on current European Union standards and best practices.
The delegations of Kosovo and Serbia have met 7 times so far, but have yet to find a common language on the license plates issue.
Based on the agreement reached in Brussels, starting last October, stickers were placed on the license plates of cars registered in Kosovo and Serbia.
This measure is expected to last six months until a permanent solution is found
