The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has responded to the statements made by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who said yesterday that Prishtina is preparing attacks in the north.
Kurti said that Vucic is an autocrat who is worried about progress in Kosovo and that when he talks about murder, he talks about himself.
“Based on the victory of February last year but also on our good governance, I am the prime minister of hope and progress, while in Serbia you have a president of fear and threat. When they talk about violence and murder, they talk about themselves, they talk about their imagination, thoughts and plans, they don’t talk about our Republic. The institutions of our state speak for our Republic”, emphasized Kurti.
He once again accused Serbia of fueling tensions in northern Kosovo on July 31 and August 1, when local Serbs, expressing dissatisfaction with Kosovo’s decisions on Serbian license plates and documents, blocked roads with heavy-tonnage trucks.
Yesterday, Vucic stated that he does not believe that the meeting with the Kosovo delegation on August 18 in Brussels will be successful. According to him, Prishtina is using the situation in Ukraine to campaign against Serbia.
