The Socialist Party will be proposing a series of legal changes that will determine the Parliament’s role in the EU integration process.
SP’s floor leader, Taulant Balla stated that the opening of negotiations requires the adoption of a series of laws that will also require the votes of opposition lawmakers.
In addition, he said that Socialists will ask to reach a consensus with the parliamentary opposition.
“The Socialist Party’s caucus group will take upon itself all the responsibilities that are akin to this historic process and moment, starting from a reevaluation of the law on the role of the Parliament in the process of European integration. This new phase will require a new approach and a new responsibility for each lawmaker and the Parliamentary Commission,” – said Balla.
