Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in a recent statement to the press, asked Serbia to give up encouraging criminal groups in the North of Kosovo.

Meta accused official Belgrade that every time it finds itself in unfavorable positions and has to accept the agreements it signed in Brussels, it uses criminal groups in the North to destabilize Kosovo and the region.

According to the former president, Serbia and Albania only advance agreements that are in their interest.

“This is an unrepeated destructive, destabilizing behavior. This behavior cannot be advocated anywhere, let alone in the middle of Tirana. Any relationship of partnership is acceptable but not vassalage. “Even with Albania, Serbia only advances agreements that serve its own self-interest,” he said, Meta said.

Meta said that it is time to reach a final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, which will solve the problems between the two countries once and for all.

“Any partial and non-comprehensive solution will be an open path for continued tensions and high costs for peace, security, and stability in our region. The Berlin process and Euro-Atlantic integrations are the only fair and safe path for the entire region”, said Meta.
