Eighteen people have been arrested on suspicion of trafficking in immigrants.

According to the Kosovo Police, it is suspected that immigrants, mainly Asians, entered illegally from Albania and were sent to the northern part of Kosovo.

Their final destination was the western states. Four firearms, 95 cartridges, 3 buses, 2 cars, two radios, and 17 mobile phones were seized from the suspects.

The investigations started in March of this year and on July 14, a Syrian citizen was arrested who is suspected of having organized the smuggling of immigrants.
