The government of Montenegro adopted Friday sanctions against Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine.
The development was confirmed by the deputy prime minister Dritan Abazovic on Twitter.

The measures include freezing the assets and economic resources of several Russian individuals and companies operating in Montenegro, as well as a ban on Russian state-controlled media broadcasters.
The US Ambassador to Podgorica, Judy Rising Reinke, commended the governmentās decision in a status shared on Twitter.
