The students will submit the petition signed by them to the Prime Minister tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., requesting reimbursement from the government of 100 euros per month.

According to them, the reimbursement should come as a result of their costs increasing.

Among other things, they say that they cannot afford the costs, especially since apartment rents have gone up to a minimum of €300 euros.

On the other hand, the university professors have warned of not starting classes on October 17, if the government doesn’t take measures to meet their demands.

Some of the demands presented by teachers are:

  • Increasing the salaries of lecturers and support staff.
  • They demand that in October of this year their salary be increased by 30% and in October of 2023 by 20%
  • Increasing funding for scientific research
  • Lab workers should be paid for the risks involved in their work
  • Seniority payment
  • Payment for overtime hours
  • Making university budgets public including how the money is managed
