NATO has condemned Iran’s cyber-attack on Albania. Through a post on Twitter, the head of the alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said that NATO is committed to increasing security.

“I condemn the latest cyber-attack on Albania, which Tirana and other allies attribute to Iran. NATO and Allied agents are offering support. NATO is determined to continue improving security and preventing cybernetic threats,” – he said.

The Iranian embassy was emptied today after the ultimatum given the day before by Prime Minister Edi Rama that the diplomatic staff of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran should leave Albania within 24 hours.

Rama stated that this decision of the Council of Ministers came after it was discovered that the Islamic Republic of Iran was behind the July 15 cyber attack.
