The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time as Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku declared that the port’s activity will not be interrupted in Durres during the construction phase for the new tourist port.

In a statement to the press, Balluku said that the state’s shares in this enterprise will not change, even if the private company increases its capital over the years.

“State participation is proposed at such levels, which do not extinguish or significantly reduce the operational risk borne by the investor. Regardless of the actions of the private shareholder, that is, despite the fact that he may increase the capital over the years, based on this agreement, the number of shares owned by the state will not be affected.

The coast, the corresponding sea, and the shores will remain inalienable state property that can’t be appropriated by private individuals even after they’re completely redeveloped. The private and public properties in the area will experience a significant increase in market value and the port’s activity will not be interrupted or hindered during the project’s construction phases”, she declared.
