Albanians want to choose their own president.
In the latest poll conducted by Euronews Albania, 73% of respondents said that they would prefer to elect their own head of state.
Participants in the survey also said that they didn’t want their new president to come from the political world. Nearly 65% said they didn’t want a politician for their new president.
Those who showed a preference for the upcoming president to be a woman were twice as much in number than those who wanted a man for president.
31% said they wanted to see a woman for president, as opposed to 17.5% who said they wanted to see a man.
The majority, however, (51.4%) said gender didn’t matter.
Findings were retrieved for Euronews Albania’s Barometer by MRB and Data Centrum, through in-person conversations conducted on a national scale from April 25- March 5.
