Leader of the Executive Committee of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, stated that his party isn’t planning to boycott elections or any parliamentary session.
In a press conference held earlier today, he underlined that the Rama administration will be ousted through protests and elections.
“For as long as I will be its leader, the Freedom party, won’t boycott anything in this country, not even for a single second. We won’t boycott any plenums and I’m not even contemplating boycotting an election. All those who have been asking how the present government will be overthrown, the answer is through elections and protests. It’ll be his [Rama’s] choice, either with protests or with elections. In a democracy, whoever refuses an election is considered a deserter,” – said Meta.
