PM Edi Rama declared earlier today that the extension of the Justice Reform isn’t something that will undergo any kind of negotiations with the opposition. It will have to be implemented, no questions asked.
“It isn’t something that’s open to negotiation, it’s something that needs to be done, there’s no turning back now. No one will be allowed to sit back idly and whoever tries to put down the Justice Reform, is putting down his country’s best interests and its strategic alliances,” – said Rama, after the meeting of SP’s Leadership group.
The head of state also noted that the extension of the term for the vetting panel is an absolute necessity that only comes as a result of a process that has proved exactly how valuable it is, in eliminating the scum from our justice system.
“This process can’t be interrupted. The Justice Reform is a reform based on a very close-knit partnership with our allies, the US and EU,” – added Rama.
In addition, the prime minister emphasized that the party he’s heading is currently undergoing a process of self-reflection.
“Self-improvement is a necessity for a political force that leads an entire nation,”- said Rama.
The head of state made mention of employment within the administration, saying that these jobs aren’t the property of the Socialist Party.
“Employment and directories aren’t the property of SP; they’re the property of Albanian citizens, they represent a function of the government and all executive structures that should be based on the laws that are in force. This isn’t propaganda. It is a dividing line that guarantees that we reach yet another level of professionalism and have another approach when it comes to our public administration and its relation to the general public,”- said Rama.
