PM Edi Rama stated through a status on his Twitter page, that Sali Berisha’s failure to vote on the resolution against the Dick Marty report, is a clear anti-Kosovo act.
“Refusal to vote, from the now widely exposed non-grata (not only in the United States), on the resolution that overturns Dick Marty’s report, is just another reason to feel disgusted at the type of politics that doesn’t care about the nation one bit, even though they act like these big patriots, but they are, in fact, acting against Kosovo!” – wrote Rama.
“And as for the turbo-patriotic absurdities that have turned Kosovo’s foreign policies into the internal policies of both Kosovo and Albania put together, the Socialist Party of Albania has never produced them nor will it ever do so, it has never praised them, nor will it ever praise them as anything but mere idiocies,” – he added.
On Thursday, 125 MPs voted in favor of the resolution that overturns Dick Marty’s report on the murder of humans and organ trafficking in Albania and Kosovo.
Marty claimed that the trafficking was conducted by members of Kosovo’s Liberation Army (KLA) against Serbian and Kosovan citizens in northern Albania, during the Kosovo War in 1999.
However, the Albanian Parliament now acknowledges that this report provided no proof that such crimes were actually committed in Albanian territory.
