The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has called on teachers to stop their strike and return to school.

During a visit to the municipality of Mamusha, Osmani said everything can be solved, but the damage done to children by not being able to attend their classes is irreparable.

“Everything else can be resolved, but the damage done to children by not going to school is irreparable. From here I call on all the teachers in Mamushe and everywhere else in Kosovo to join forces and return to school, which is the institution that offers all the possible support and knowledge to our students, and our children; and let us move forward in realizing the demands within the realm of possibilities that can be offered by the Republic of Kosovo “, declared Osmani.

Kosovo’s Education Union announced a few days ago that teachers were going on strike as a result of financial hardships and because they hadn’t received their salaries.
