Two dozens of schools in Montenegro canceled their classes on Wednesday after receiving bomb threats, confirmed a spokesperson of the education ministry for state media RTCG.

Bomb squads were dispatched to 41 educational institutions, leading to a suspension of classes.

The reason or person behind the threat remains a mystery at the moment, with some casting doubt on recent political developments.

On Thursday, the Montenegrin parliament will convene to form a new pro-Western government.

The move has been widely criticized by pro-Serbian parties who were part of the former government that lost due to a vote of no-confidence.
