654,538 are eligible to exercise their voting rights at the local by-elections due on March 6.
Voting will take place in 941 polling stations.
Albania’s interior ministry disclosed that there are 10,134 first-time voters, while 135 citizens have been removed from the list in line with the policy on decriminalization.
The ministry appealed to citizens to verify their names on the list and head to Civil Status Offices in their respective municipalities in case of complaints.
On 6 March, citizens from Shkodra, Vora, Dibra, Durres, Lushnje, and Rrogozhina will head to the polls to elect their new mayor.
The election campaign for the local by-elections kicks off on February 19 and is set to last two weeks.
