Competent bodies have information about persons who entered North Macedonia to cause provocations during the recent civil protests, but also for the financing of some political subjects.

This is what the president of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, said in an interview for the Macedonian magazine Fokus, writes REL.

He accused Moscow of interfering in the internal affairs of his country through the financing of “some political subjects”.

The head of state did not reveal names, but said that “it is about some entities that are in direct correlation with Moscow in recent years”.

“As long as they are politically articulated in institutions, it is good and democratic. But I must say that it is really surprising that a few days after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ‘Left’ invited the Russian ambassador to the Assembly and rewarded him for his contribution to bilateral relations, which is unprecedented. This has not happened in any European Parliament”, said President Pendarovski.
