Prime Minister Edi Rama will be in Turkey today, where he will meet with the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Euronews Albania learned that the meeting will take place at 14:30 at the presidential complex in Ankara. The anticipated meeting has also been published on the website of the Turkish presidency.

The topics of discussion in the meeting between the two leaders have yet to be announced.

Rama and Erdogan have shared a steady friendship over the years. Meanwhile, Turkey’s help in the reconstruction process has proved to be of great benefit to our country. The construction of 500 new houses in the city of ​​Lac has been funded by the Turkish government and beneficiaries will be families who lost their homes in the devastating earthquake back in November 2019.

In the coming months, Albania is also expected to receive an undisclosed number of intelligent drones from the Turkish military.
