Who would be elected the new mayor of Shkoder if the elections were to be held today?
36.3% of Shkodran voters showed their support for Berisha’s candidate, Bardh Spahia, who would become mayor if the March 6 local by-elections were to be held today.
However, the candidate of the Socialist Party (SP), Majlinda Angoni would get more votes (26.4%) than the Democratic Party’s (DP) candidate, Xhemal Bushati (9.9%).
1 in 4 voters (27.4%) was undeceived or said they would opt-out from voting in the upcoming elections.
Euronews Albania’s Barometer decided to ask eligible voters in Shkoder regarding the upcoming by-elections that are set to take place on March 6.

Shkodrans who voted for DP in the last elections is nowadays on Berisha’s side by an overwhelming majority (70%).
In addition, only 17% of those who voted for DP in the last elections would still vote for it this time around.
Results were retrieved from a poll conducted by Euronews Albania’s Barometer in collaboration with MRB and Data Centrum in the municipality of Shkoder, from February 12-18, 2022, through 1.000 in-person interviews.
