PM Edi Rama has conducted a meeting with the former PM of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair.
The meeting was held before a session of SP’s parliamentary group, at the government villa no. 30 at the former-Block neighborhood in Tirana.
Albania is only one out of the many countries that has been receiving advice by Blair through his consultancy firm ‘Tony Blair Associates’, which was established after the end of his term as prime minister back in 2007.
Blair’s role as advisor to Rama came shortly after the victory of the SP-SMI coalition in the 2013 general elections.
Even though the former British prime minister has claimed that he has been offering his services to the Albanian government cost-free, backing in 2015 a British media, reported that Blair’s wife, Cherie Blair., had signed a contract with the Albanian government in exchange for legal advice services.
