DP’s Electoral Organization Commission has announced this Sunday, that it will be holding elections for the new district leaders of 5 DP branches.
These elections will be held in the following branches: Kruje, Belsh, Maliq, in Tirana’s no.14 division and in Vore.
The Commission also invited all DP members in these districts to participate in the electoral process.
So far, the total number of DP district branches that have closed their electoral process goes to 59.
This process continues to meet the resistance of the rest of the Democratic Party, which has asked for its postponement, so that all Democrats can be involved.
Meanwhile, on April 22, Tirana’s District Court accepted an appeal made by Democrat Enkelejd Alibeaj, in regards to the Court’s decision which legitimized the Dec 11 Assembly, held by former PM Sali Berisha.
Judge Blerina Muca returned the case for retrial at the Appeals Court.
On March 25, Judge Agron Zhukri recognized DP’s Statute adopted during the December 11 Assembly, which led to a rift within the Democratic Party.
