During tonight’s ‘Shock’ on Euronews Albania, analyst Baton Haxhiu said that the former PM Sali Berisha is someone that lacks ideology.
According to Haxhiu, when Berisha speaks about ideology in the Democratic Party, he doesn’t actually take it seriously.
While commenting on Berisha’s recent statement from his ‘Pulpit tour’ in Tropoja, during which the former PM said that he would turn DP into a conservative and sovereigntist party, Haxhiu said that in none of Berisha’s pulpit meetings, have there been any clear ideas or ideological inclinations.
“Berisha is neither left nor right-wing, neither a liberal nor a conservative; he is Sali Berisha and his variations are superficial. I don’t know if anyone takes Berisha seriously when he speaks of ideology. He doesn’t understand what an ideological concept is. His explanations are folkloric and his approach is populist,” – said Haxhiu.
