German Chancellor Olaf Scholz begins on Friday a two-day tour in the Western Balkans stopping first in Kosovo.
The German Chancellor will meet Prime Minister Albin Kurti and a joint press conference is expected after their meeting.
A few days ago, Kurti praised the German Chancellor’s visit as a move that will “refresh the Berlin Process”.
Olaf Scholz will also pay a visit to the German troops serving at KFOR.
In the afternoon, Scholz will head to Belgrade to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Then, he will travel to Skopje and Sofia.
Scholz will then head to Thessaloniki in response to an invitation by Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis to join representatives of the regional initiative South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
