Twenty embassies of Western countries have expressed their full support for members of the LGBT+ community and hope, they say, for a solution that will enable a peaceful, legal and safe parade.
As announced on the Twitter account of the Dutch embassy, 20 embassies have signed their support for Pride Parade participants, writes Euronews Serbia.
“Serbia has taken important steps towards strengthening the equality of the LGBTIQ+ community and their rights, freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and protection from violence. Hosting Europride in Belgrade is a day to celebrate and understand such progress,” the statement said.
The embassies of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Great Britain and the USA are the signatories of support for Europride.
