The court session for the former mayor of Lushnje, Fatos Tushe, and the other suspects in his case has been postponed.

The reason for this was the absence of one of the judicial troupe members.

During the previous session SPAK called for a 3.4 year-prison sentence for Tushe, subject to summary conviction.

Meanwhile, SPAK asked for a 2 years and 8 months prison sentence for the former deputy mayor Gentian Nushi.

Tushe was arrested in the beginning of July 2021, during a SPAK-ordered operation.

Along with him, an additional 10 existing and former officials of this municipality were arrested by police as a result of allegations of tender fraud connected to a construction project in surrounding villages.
