SPAK demands 1-year prison sentence for the KPK member

SPAK has demanded 1 year in prison with a shortened trial, converted to 2 years’ probation for the member of the Independent Qualification Commission, Etleda Çiftja.

SPAK demands that Çiftja be declared guilty on charges of refusal to declare and concealment and falsification of official documents.

Çiftja is also accused of forging 2 contracts, defrauding a bank and ILDKPI with false asset declarations.

The couple is accused of having made a false statement regarding the purchase of a residential apartment, two plots of land with a total surface area of 1,450 m2 and a plot of 3,440 m2.

Although the investigation has been ongoing for several months now, Etleda Çiftja continues her duties at the KPK, issuing rulings and decisions for judges and prosecutors who appear before Vetting commissions.
