From the press conference in Skopje, Prime Minister Edi Rama revealed further details in regard to the agreements that were signed during the meeting between the 2 governments.

The head of the Albanian government underlined that both parties agreed on the construction of the infrastructure of the eighth corridor, the construction of the dry port in Struga, and the opening of a Struga-Pogradec border crossing.

“But at the same time, we approved 3 initiatives proposed by Artan Grubi, which are related to the construction of the infrastructure of the eighth corridor, the construction of the dry port in Struga, and the opening of a Struga-Pogradec border crossing.

All three of them are of great strategic importance. We have agreed that what belongs to the Struga dry port project will be taken over by the Albanian government within the framework of the agreements with the Dutch company. We’ve met at an extremely challenging moment for all of Europe and the world. Like everyone else, we suffer the consequences of the war in Ukraine. The increase in the price of electricity and heating, as well as the fight against inflation, are two weapons that are being used by Putin to destabilize Europe and the countries that make up the block. We are all in trouble. In these difficult times, we need to interact as much as possible, the more we work, the better we can cope with these complex situation”, said Rama.
