The Independent Qualification Commission has dismissed the Prosecutor of Tirana, Julian Xhengo.

The decision was made this Wednesday by the judging panel chaired by Xhensila Pine, rapporteur Firdes Shuli, and member Olsi Komici.

During the verifications, Xhengo had issues justifying his wealth and providing evidence of a clean background.

DSIK has drawn up a negative report for the former prosecutor, after 25 denunciations from citizens complaining their experience with the prosecutor.

In the meantime, the KPK has also found delays in investigations led by the prosecutor in various cases.
