Later today, the state-ordered Transparency Board will meet once again to decide on the prices of fuel that will stay fixed at least until the following week.
The last time this board met was on March 16, during which they decided to fix the price of oil at 203 ALL per liter and the price of gasoline at 206 ALL per liter.
The decision to set up this Transparency Board came as a result of the recent price hikes that followed the war in Ukraine and sanctions imposed by the United States on Russia.
About two weeks ago, the price of oil in our country reached a staggering 270 ALL per liter, which forced hundreds of citizens to take to the streets and demand that the state comes out with a proper emergency response to the global crisis.
