The Ukrainian Embassy to Albania made a post on its official Facebook page that raised many eyebrows.
In the post, it calls for all volunteers who wish to join in helping Ukraine face the Russian incursion, to fill out an application.
In order to join the International Territorial Defense Legion of Ukraine, the embassy states that volunteers should send a CV.
Yesterday, president Zelensky called for the formation of an International Union, made up of foreign fighters that wish to help defend Ukraine.
Even though solidarization amongst Albanian citizens has been widespread across the entire country, through protests and calls for support, many have compared these calls to similar ones made during the war in Syria.
Others have also brought up Ukraine’s stance on Kosovo’s Independence.
