The Vlora Bypass will be fully ready by the first week of July, said Sunday minister Belinda Balluku.
The Albanian Minister of Infrastructure and Energy said the road was considered problematic in the past due to the geological composition of the soil in the area it was built on.
But, Balluku asserted that the road will be ready ahead of the tourist season, in order to avoid road traffic congestion for the tourists eyeing to travel in Albania’s southern riviera.
“I saw it today, it appears nearly impossible to have it ready by the end of June, or the first week of July when the tourist season is officially on. We don’t have any more time, we need to perform as per the contract. So, I expect to have the road completely finished by the first week of July”, concluded minister Balluku.
