Albanian citizens don’t share a particularly positive sentiment when it comes to President Ilir Meta.
In a recent poll conducted by Euronews Albania’s Barometer, 73% of respondents gave Meta’s 5-year term a negative rating.
In addition, Meta received a negative rating when it comes to his stance on the Constitutional Court by 66% of respondents.
The same went for his stances on the National Theatre (64.4%), the US embassy (73%) and the 2019 local elections (75%).
68.3% of respondents negatively rated Meta’s stance in regards to the opposition, as well as the ruling majority (73.9%).
Only around 1 in 10 Albanians rated Ilir Meta’s stance on the National Theatre as positive (11.3%), the opposition (11.4%) and the ruling majority (9.2%).
Findings were retrieved for Euronews Albania’s Barometer by MRB and Data Centrum, through in-person conversations conducted on a national scale from April 25- March 5.
