What is the most trusted institution by Albanian citizens?

The US Embassy is the most trusted institution by Albanian citizens (52,6%).

Euronews Albania’s Barometer asked Albanian citizens regarding their trust in various institutions around the country.

Results showed that internationals are the ones who are the most trusted amongst citizens. Half of Albanians (50.2%) believe in the EU delegation in Albania.

More than 2 in 5 Albanians (45.3%) expressed their trust in the entire international community operating in Albania.

When it comes to Albanian institutions, the government is among the most trusted (34.6%), followed by the police (33.7%) and the army (30.1%).

The media isn’t amongst the most trusted entities according to Albanians. Less than 1 in 5 citizens believe in traditional media (18.9%), followed by online media (13.2%) and information posted across social media (11%).

Amongst Albanian institutions, the one that is least trusted by citizens is the President of the Republic (2.2%) and Political Parties (3.1%).

Results were retrieved from Euronews Albania’s Barometer survey carried out by MRB and Data Centrum through 1.000 face-to-face interviews with Albanian households conducted on a national scale from May 23 – June 4.
