Brigadier General Arben Kingji is expected to be appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Sources for Euronews Albania from the Ministry of Defense informed that Arben Kingji was the proposal of Prime Minister Rama and is expected to be decreed by President Bajram Begaj.

Brigadier General Arben Kingji held the position of Commander of the Land Force until now. Earlier he was Commander of the Support Battalion at the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Brigadier General Arben Kingji replaces in this position Bajram Begaj, who was elected President of the Republic of Albania.
