The Freedom Party protest at the Tirana incinerator started shortly before 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday.

Former president Ilir Meta, in a statement to the Euronews Albania journalist, Ardit Hoxha, said that every citizen is a powerful voice to show justice and that Tirana’s incinerator is the pinnacle of corruption.

“Each citizen is a powerful voice to tell SPAK stop with the justice directed from above, with putting poor people to jail just because they can’t pay their electricity bill. The biggest monument of corruption is right here, in front of you,” – said Meta.

Asked if he had invited Sali Berisha to the protest, Meta replied by saying that everyone is welcome.
