The Ambassador of the United States to Albania, Yuri Kim, said during an event organized on the occasion of National Justice Day that the newly formed justice institutions are “fully functioning”.
But despite the initial tangible results, Ambassador Kim also emphasized that there is a lot to do in order to meet the expectations of the Albanian citizens.
“The justice reform has made a significant way forward, but there is still a lot to do in order to fulfill the expectations of the Albanian people”, declared the US Ambassador.
The Ambassador said that the US will continue to support Albania, in order to make justice and the rule of law “a reality”, adding that the former “must be at the service of the people”.
“It is time to show that you’re unaffected by politics, there is no room for corruption and corruptive factors in the justice system. Albania has a complete legal framework in compliance with the highest standards”, said Ambassador Kim.
