“Different stances in regards to ‘Open Balkan’ won’t stop us from solidifying our relations” – declared Rama during his joint press conference with Albin Kurti.
“In regards to the Open Balkan initiative, we have different approaches and different stances, but you also need to realize that we might not always think the same about many things, but this won’t get in the way of us joining efforts in doing the right thing for the future of both countries,” – said Rama.
Rama linked the current situation with the double-headed eagle on the Albanian national flag.
“If you’ll allow me to make a reference to our double-headed eagle, it is a single body with two heads, where one looks one way and the other looks the other way, but the body stays still,” – he added.
In addition, Kosovo’s prime minister emphasized that it is possible to have Kosovo and Albania come to an agreement, without having to mention Serbia.
“Today’s meeting proved that Kosovo and Albania are able to discuss, make plans and come to agreements, without having to make mention of Kosovo’s northern neighbor,” – said Kurti.
