Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted through a post on Twitter about all of the recent accusations that have been made against him regarding the port of Durres.
According to him, it is a matter of slander and humiliation to the detriment of the country’s interest. Rama also said that the investment is transformative not only for the city of Durres, but for the whole of Albania and everything that is said is proof that the opposition has once upon a time, been involved in the same things they are accusing us of.
“The aim of this desperate attack is to prevent this major transformative investment for Durres and all of Albania, through the intimidation of one of the flagship companies of the United Emirates, which we brought here with the support of the President, Sheikh Muhammed Bin Zayed,” – wrote Rama on Twitter.
The procedure for the construction of the port of Durres has caused many debates and accusations from the opposition that the prime minister is ‘handing over Albanian land as a gift’ to the Arab investors.
