Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha declared that Edi Rama’s fiscal amnesty is a form of legalizing the money made by Albanian mafia groups, both inside and outside Albanian borders.
This Monday, Berisha called on EU member states and the European Commission to keep insisting on not allowing this law to get adopted.
According to him, this law only affirms the connections of Rama’s regime with organized crime in Albania and overseas.
“Or else, the Democratic Party will guarantee that we will invalidate Edi Rama’s fiscal amnesty and bring before the law everyone who profited from this amnesty when we come in power.
These people’s names will be forwarded to fiscal and justice bodies of western countries and they will be prosecuted in the places where they operate as well as in Albania,” – said Berisha.
