ARRSH has called on all drivers to stay alert and gear up with snow chains and winter tires as snowfall continues across southeastern parts of the country with average intensity.
Qafe Thane, Dardhe and Qafe Qarr, have received the largest snowfall, which is why drivers in these road axes have been told to use winter tires and snow chains. ARRSH has also declared that its emergency teams are working on treating the roads with salt while also clearing the snow at maximum capacity.
Based on forecast reports, snowfall is expected to continue through the entire day.
Euronews Albania’s correspondents report that in Pogradec, Vlecan and Trebinja villages, the snow has reached 10 cm altitude, which has caused difficulties for drivers.
9 villages in Maliq and Pogradec have experienced power cuts for the past 24 hours.
