A unique exhibition was launched recently at the Marubi Museum of Photography in Shkoder, Albania.
The exhibition titled ‘Pietro Marubi and photos from the Ottoman era’ has brought together important photographers from the period of the Ottoman Empire in Albania.
The minister of culture, Elva Margariti was also present at the exhibition launch, during which she declared that these photos attest to the history and the relations between the Albanian and Turkish nations.
Along with photos of some of the most renowned photographers of the Ottoman Empire, we can find photos of Pietro Marubi, some in black and white and others in color.
Views from cities, schools and citizens in traditional attire can be found while gazing at the works of art, that are also on sale as postcards.
