Police send back 70 football fans that caused incidents in Tirana

At around 04:00 am this morning, 70 foreign football fans who were involved in incidents and havoc last night were sent back to their home countries through the port of Durres.

After clashing with officers last night, Tirana police in collaboration with the Durres police have escorted these fans to the port of Durres which is the largest in the country. From there, these individuals will travel back home to their countries of origin.

Last night, numerous violent clashes between police and fans of Feyenoord and Roma were registered in Tirana.

As a result of these incidents, 10 police officers were injured and a police car has been damaged.

Moreover, 3 Italian citizens and one Dutch citizen were injured.

Euronews Albania learned that the Dutch citizen was transferred to the Sanatorium.

In addition, 60 soccer fans from both teams were escorted to the police station, of whom 48 were Italian and 12 Dutch citizens.
