Democratic MP Oerd Bylykbashi and member of the Re-foundation Commission accused DP’s caucus leader, Enkelejd Alibeaj of having entered a deal with the ruling majority in the process of electing the new president.
According to Bylykbashi, through this plot, PM Rama will refer to the new head of state as someone chosen from the opposition.
Meanwhile, Alibeaj said that on Friday evening, DP’s parliamentary group and its allies will convene in a meeting where they will discuss the process of electing the new president, as well as possible candidatures.
In a press statement earlier today, Alibeaj declared that if the ruling majority overthrows their proposed candidature for president during Monday’s plenum, their deal will be called off.
