INSTAT published the official figure of employees in the public sector, which immediately provoked the reaction of the Democratic Party.
There were about 22,000 new jobs that were filled in by 22,000 new public servants, which according to Democrats, raises the alarm regarding possible abuse in the upcoming local elections.
“Those who think that these are salaries that go to Albanian families are wrong. These are bonuses given to the Nazi patrons, the predatory guardians of the local and parliamentary elections in the electoral districts of Edi Rama,” the DP statement said.
According to the Democratic Party, the employees of the public administration are used as an electoral army, and proof of this is the fact that this “swelling” of the public sector is only seasonal, that is, every time the elections approach.
Spokesperson Floriana Garo also added that in 2021 the administration swelled up by 8 000 people, precisely because the country was in another electoral season.
“This is a red alert for the fate of the upcoming local elections. Every job that is added, at the central or local level, does nothing more than arm Rama’s government to take the next election by force,” she said.
