The Ukraine crisis ‘could spread to others parts of Europe and the world, especially in the Western Balkans’.

These were the statement made by Serbian president Alexandar Vucic earlier today for Serbian Pink TV.

“As the Supreme Commander, I issued an order to the members of the Serbian Army and a request to the police forces and a request to the Special Units to be prepared in the best possible way, to continue investing in equipment and weapons. because just as people thought that peace was something that was taken for granted, today it is obviously not like that,” he pointed out.

While commenting on the Ukraine crisis, after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree for the recognition of the Ukrainian region of Donbas, Vucic claimed that Serbia’s stance won’t be an easy one.

“We are facing great challenges – political, security, and economic. What I have experienced in the last three days and what follows in the political sense will not be easy for Serbia,” he said, adding that political pressures will be greater than ever,” – said Vucic.

In addition, the Serbian president claimed that the political pressure on Serbia will now be greater than ever.

“You can imagine how much pressure there will be on Serbia now to impose sanctions on Russia, I have already had calls in this regard,” said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

In conclusion, Vucic said that he has also had an important conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on the situation in the Western Balkans region.
